AUXC & AUXCOMM Knowledge Space
Echo-Alpha isn’t just a name — it’s a call to action. In the world of emergency communications, “Echo” signifies a communications unit, and “Alpha” stands for an auxiliary support branch that provides critical support. Together, Echo-Alpha represents who we are: a dedicated team of skilled communicators standing ready to support emergency response whenever and wherever we're needed. It's short, tactical, and mission-ready — just like us.
We believe that AUXCOMM enhances situational awareness by providing vital, peripheral information to emergency services—enabling them to make more informed decisions and carry out successful missions.

Our Strategy and Process
Through trusted partnerships, disciplined processes, shared knowledge, and adaptive tools, we quietly support the mission—working as part of the team to deliver timely, relevant insight that empowers leaders to act.
We don’t operate in silos. We integrate, adapt, and support. We don’t seek attention—we seek outcomes.
Our Tactics and Key Activities
As Auxiliary Communicators, we lead and coordinate auxiliary communications in direct support of the mission.
We act as technical specialists, deploying resilient communication capabilities, aligning with agency requirements, and sharing critical information that aids in decision-making and problem-solving.
We do this by:
Supporting the ESF #2- PACE Plan
— We focus on contingency and emergency pathways to ensure communications continue when primary and alternate systems fail.
Coordinating and leading NGO communication resources
— We unify groups like ARES, SATERN, and the Red Cross, aligning their communication efforts with incident command and emergency management needs.
Enhancing situational awareness
— We gather and deliver relevant, actionable information—so the right people have what they need, when they need it, in a format they can use.
