Prerequisites Completed
Required experience and courses must be finished.
Position Training
Complete the position-specific classroom course.
Begin the Position Task Book (PTB).
Gain Experience
Apply skills in real or simulated operations.
Continue working through your PTB.
Submit for Recognition
Compile your PTB and other documentation.
Submit to the Office of Emergency Communications (OEC).
Review is completed by the Qualifications Review Board (CQRB).
Recognition is granted by the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC).
Ongoing Maintenance
Stay current through training, practice, and operational involvement.
Renewal occurs every 5 years.
AUXC recognition is valid for 5 years.
Renewal begins based on when you were last recognized:
If recognized before January 1st of a given year, you start renewal the following 5-year cycle.
If recognized after January 1st, you start renewal in the next 5-year cycle.
Renewal ensures you remain active and up to date with training and skills.
